My son and I joined Sam for a morning at the garden and it was great. We appreciated learning about the projects that Sam is involved in and helping out with planting avocado seeds and some weeding. Next time we’d like to stay longer. Our visit in Moshi was quite short but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks Sam!

My two colleagues and I were lucky enough to stay at the family farm for a bit over a week in relation to our collaboration on our bachelor thesis. It has truly been one of the greatest pleasures to be a part of the home helping cooking, working, and learning of organic agriculture practices. The process was smooth all the way, as Seraphine and his family helped us arrange parts of the logistics. All the way through they provided a great support and hospitality. We got to help plant coffee beans, cut grass, cook, join the local church, go to the market, hike the Pare Mountain to visit the neighbourgh farm, and many other things. We can only give the warmest recommendations for visiting this beautiful place, and we have a sense that you will be left with the exact same longing sensation for visiting again. All the best, Alberte & Clara

A lovely visit at Gonja Mwala farm with my study group has been concluded. Me and my two friends/study colleagues reached out to Seraphine in hope that we could have a meaningful setting to study for our bachelor's thesis. Boy, were we blown away by the kindness of our hosts and the environment that their farm operates in. My experience at Gonja Mwala farm satisfied my core in a very nourishing way. So many lessons learned, and bonds created. The expression "pole pole", meaning to not rush anything, and slow down a notch, embodied in the culture, has been brought back to Copenhagen with me. I hope to one day return. And it feels unlikely that I wouldn't. Anton

It was a fantastic experience! The foundation is such a happy place and Tumaini is a wonderful host, that looks really well after you while at the foundation, but also brings you to other places connected to the foundation, so you get a broader view on life in Tanzania. The kids are very friendly, open and helpful- so it's very easy to get attached to them!:)I loved the communal lunch and dinner-the food was lovely and the table was always full of laughter and interesting stories! Overall an experience of a lifetime-go for it!

I had the most wonderful time here in Tanzania with Joseph, his family and friends. He always said Tanzania is my second home and after spending only 3 weeks there, I definetly feel this way. The first two weeks I always went with Rikke, the youngest daughter to school and helped there. It was so amazing and beautiful! In the afternoon I played with the kids at home or helped Flora with cooking or dishes. On the weekends I went to the church with the family and to the band rehearsels with Joseph. I even got the chance to sing and dance with them on stage. In the third week there was also some farm work to do. So I´ve gotten the chance to experience so many different things. I loved it!! Thank you Joseph, from the bottom of my heart, for this amazing experience. I will cherish all the memories forever and have you in my heart! Asante sana!

I had the chance to stay almost two weeks on Seraphine's family farm. It is located in Paré mountain, the place is wonderful. It was a very rich experience and one of the most beautiful in terms of human experience. Seraphine and his family welcomed me like a member of their family. I was able to learn and ask all the questions about their agriculture, their way of life, I was also able to learn to cook locally and have many exchanges and discussions. Thanks to the whole family. I stayed on Gonja Mwala Farm with Seraphine and his family members for a week and simply had the best time! Everyone was so nice and welcomed me as a part of the family and it truly felt like I was a family member at the end of the week. During the stay I got to help with coffee planting and preparing, cooking and house cleaning. It was a very good experience to get an inside view into Tanzanian rural lifestyle and getting to know how to cook proper Tanzanian meals. We had a lot of fun together and could also talk about our different cultural backgrounds as well as organic farming. Thank you so much again to Seraphine and everyone on the farm, who made my time so so good, I am still missing everyone! I can very much recommend a stay there 😊

I stayed three weeks at Tunza Foundation for my first woofing, and what an experience! It was one of my greatest human experiences. Samuel and Amrat set up this magnificent project two years ago and are doing everything to protect and conserve their environment in Moshi by involving the communities. I was able to learn alongside Samuel and Baba Klare on the farm but also participate in raising awareness among students in schools and clean up days in Moshi. I was hosted by Amrat's family as an integral part of the family. I was able to discover their local way of life but also exchange and share lots of moments. They put everything in place so that I could enjoy Moshi and around on weekends. Thank you for everything. I will never forget this experience. The world needs more people like you. Asanté Sana

I stayed with Fadhili and his family just for a few days, but was recieved with so much warmth, it felt like I was part of the family! There was not much work to do, so I had a lot of free time, which I was also spending with their kids. I could also get a good insight into the Tanzanian food culture. I can very much recommend the farm!

My two daughters, ages 9 and 11, and I stayed with Joseph, his wife, and their two sweet, funny, and intelligent daughters this past July 2025 for two weeks in their home closer to Dar es Salaam. We helped teach English in a preschool close by, and traveled with them to a nearby farm they are working to expand. July was rice harvest season and I got to help with some harvesting. I am forever grateful to Joseph and his family for making us feel like a part of their family, and for helping us to integrate into their cultural practices. I especially loved cooking with his wife Flora, going to markets and to Church together, and my girls loved playing with his daughters and the neighborhood children! If you have any questions, Joseph is extremely helpful and is really trying to do good in the world with his orphanage. I wish I could share photos with this review because we made so many memories together! ♥️🇹🇿 Asante sana Joseph! (Thank you so much!)
