Welcome to experience the real African life in Tanzania while volunteering.
Tanzania
We are looking for open-minded, compassionate volunteers who are ready to share their hearts and skills in the following areas:
Education & Child Engagement: Teach children core subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Art. We value empathetic individuals who love to play, bond, and bring pure joy and fun into the lives of these children.
Medical & Healthcare Support: Assist staff at our local hospital. Please note: This opportunity is strictly reserved for volunteers with a valid medical background and professional healthcare experience.
Fundraising & Orphanage Construction: Help us raise vital funds to complete our new orphanages in Mbeya and Kibaha (Coast Region). Currently, we support 15 orphans in Igamba Village who are temporarily sheltered with local foster families. Your fundraising efforts will help us finish construction swiftly so these children can finally move into their safe, permanent home.
Sustainable Agriculture: Get hands-on with farming initiatives at our community plots in Igamba Village (Songwe Region) and Kibaha (Coast Region) to help secure food sustainability for our programs.

I had the most wonderful time here in Tanzania with Joseph, his family and friends. He always said Tanzania is my second home and after spending only 3 weeks there, I definetly feel this way. The first two weeks I always went with Rikke, the youngest daughter to school and helped there. It was so amazing and beautiful! In the afternoon I played with the kids at home or helped Flora with cooking or dishes. On the weekends I went to the church with the family and to the band rehearsels with Joseph. I even got the chance to sing and dance with them on stage. In the third week there was also some farm work to do. So I´ve gotten the chance to experience so many different things. I loved it!!
Thank you Joseph, from the bottom of my heart, for this amazing experience. I will cherish all the memories forever and have you in my heart! Asante sana!

My two daughters, ages 9 and 11, and I stayed with Joseph, his wife, and their two sweet, funny, and intelligent daughters this past July 2025 for two weeks in their home closer to Dar es Salaam. We helped teach English in a preschool close by, and traveled with them to a nearby farm they are working to expand. July was rice harvest season and I got to help with some harvesting. I am forever grateful to Joseph and his family for making us feel like a part of their family, and for helping us to integrate into their cultural practices. I especially loved cooking with his wife Flora, going to markets and to Church together, and my girls loved playing with his daughters and the neighborhood children! If you have any questions, Joseph is extremely helpful and is really trying to do good in the world with his orphanage. I wish I could share photos with this review because we made so many memories together! ♥️🇹🇿 Asante sana Joseph! (Thank you so much!)

I was really excited when i planned my trip to tanzania and i didn´t knew what to excpect, because it was my first time in Africa. But i would never have excpected such an open and warm welcome like at Joseph´s place! From the first second´s it felt like a second home. I had not only the opportunity to experience the african life in it´s most authentic way, but also to make friends for life. We learned a lot about nature and plants working at the farm and experienced the life in Tanzania by going to church, cooking authentic meals with Flora and making amazing trips with Joseph and his family. We also had the opportunity to help teaching kids at the local school and play cardgames and football with Josephs and the neighbours kids in the afternoon. On the weekend we went to the national park, to the beach, to the museum, visiting the Maasai and a lot more! Thanks again to Joseph, who is really a special person with a big heart and his wonderful family for this amazing experience and hospitality, i will never forget this trip! Asante sana! Manuel

It was my first whoof experience and it was truly amazing. I wish I could have stayed longer. Joseph is someone that has a heart of gold and I spend such good time with him, his team and his family. He just became a friend. I had a room for myself, with mosquito net, and even WiFi when Joesph was at home.
Flora, his wife, is very nice and cooks amazing food and very opens to teach you.
I had the choice to work either in the fields for few hours in the morning or with the kids at school. Eventually, I feel like I spent more time having discussions with Joesph and enjoying life than working.
I recommend 100% visiting Joesph and his family !

Staying with Joseph, his wife Flora, and their kids Ruth and Rieke was an unforgettable and heartwarming experience. From the first day, they welcomed us so warmly that I felt like part of their family. It’s a genuine local experience — Joseph includes you in his daily life, whether going to church, helping on the farm, or visiting friends.
Cooking with Flora was a highlight — she’s an amazing cook. We often prepared Tanzanian meals together. After work, neighborhood kids came to play, and once a week the lively local market offered everything from fruits and spices to souvenirs. Ruth and Rieke are super polite, smart, and open-hearted, and Joseph’s friend Joshua always brought great energy and laughter.
Farm work was enjoyable and never too hard — mostly planting or watering vegetables, always with time for breaks. Visiting the School was inspiring and full of smiles; we helped the kids with writing and counting and played together during breaks.
I learned so much about Tanzanian life and culture and admired how calm and kind everyone was — I never once heard anyone get angry. Weekends were something special — I won’t spoil too much, but let’s just say: safari! Joseph is open-minded, flexible, and always happy to make your ideas happen. If you love music, you’ll enjoy the local rehearsals and beautiful live music at church.
Thank you, Joseph, Flora, Ruth, and Rieke, for this unforgettable time. I’ll never forget you and will always keep you close to my heart.

Where to start about this magical time? We had never been to Tanzania before but Joseph and his family and team managed to make us feel right at home in just two weeks! From the day we arrived we were treated with the greatest hospitality we have ever experienced, Joseph helped with each and every concern. Our work consisted of helping at their small farm, but it didn't even feel like work because of all the fun we had! Eating sugarcane and coconut, telling stories and sharing ideas (the people at the farm have an exceptional mentality towards happiness and helping, we learnt a lot!). We felt that every idea of ours was appreciated! At home, we relaxed or sometimes helped washing the dishes or we accompanied Joseph's wife Flora to the market where she patiently helped buy souvenirs. :) Also we shopped for the meals we shared everyday, which were the best meals we ever had... A few times Flora even taught us how to prepare some things. She is the most lovely and talented woman ever!! And don't even get us started on their wonderful daughters - we still miss them so much as we played rounds and rounds of UNO and got our hair dressed :)
Joseph, you made so many of our dreams come true. From the safari to your orphanage project to the excursion to Dar - you were the best host we could ask for and your family became our family. We love you all so much! Asante sana!
